Giuliana Cavalieri Manasse

Dr. Giuliana Cavalieri Manasse is an archaeologist, she was the state archaeologist for the Soprintendenza per Beni archeologici del Veneto from 1977 to 2012 and also for Beni archeologici della Lombardia from 1986 to 2000, a member 1999 of the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut of Rome,  founder member of the Centro di Studi Lunensi, associate professor of Classical Archaeology at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice.

Her research focuses on architecture and urbanism in the Roman age, specializing in monuments and public areas.

She has collaborated with the Soprintendenza alle Antichità della Liguria, the Soprintendenza di Napoli e Caserta, the Regione Campania, the Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, the Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università Cattolica di Milano and the Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università degli Studi di Verona.

Her role in CELTUDALPS is the referent for the excavation of the Seminario of which she was the scientific director.
